The PondSelect Pro Series Lake Fountain is the premium tier in the PondSelect lineup - built around a stainless steel pump body engineered for high head pressure rather than raw flow. The result: dramatically taller spray heights than the Classic Series at the same horsepower, and 5 distinct spray patterns purpose-built for lake-scale water bodies. 1 HP at 230V hits an 18 ft Shooting Star or Starburst, a 12 ft x 38 ft Crown, and a 18 ft tall Frothy Geyser - statement-level water features sized for the front of an HOA lake, a municipal water body, or a golf course irrigation pond.
Two motor sizes cover most installs: 1/2 HP (115V only, 5,700 GPH, 37 ft head) and 1 HP (115V or 230V, 7,000 GPH, 48 ft head). Both ride on the same 30 in rotomolded float as the rest of the PondSelect line and ship with 150 ft of nylon mooring rope. The 1 HP / 230V version draws just 5 A so it's economical to run continuously even on a shared circuit. Built around Italian-engineered Calpeda pumps inside a fully stainless steel housing - the same hardware Pondsleect uses across its commercial lineup.
Pick 1/2 HP for ponds up to 1/2 acre that need a striking visual; pick 1 HP for ponds up to 1 acre or for installs where you want the taller 18 ft spray heights. Then pick the cord length that reaches from the float to a shore-mounted GFCI outlet (100 / 150 ft for 115V; 100 / 150 / 200 ft for 1 HP 230V). Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy
- Pond Size: 1/2 HP covers ponds up to 1/2 acre; 1 HP covers ponds up to 1 acre. For larger water bodies, contact us about commercial pumping solutions.
- Pond Depth: 24 in minimum operating depth. The float draws water through the pump on the bottom.
- Power: 1/2 HP is 115V only (5.5 A). 1 HP is 115V (10 A) or 230V (5 A). All wire up to a properly sized GFCI-protected dedicated circuit.
- Cord Length: 100 ft or 150 ft on most variants; the 1 HP / 230V configuration also offers 200 ft. Measure from the planned float position to a shore-mounted outlet including the run up the bank.
- Mooring: 150 ft of nylon rope is included. You supply two or four anchors. Anchor at roughly 45-degree angles to keep the float in position even in wind.
- Spray Pattern: all five nozzles are included. The Frothy Geyser is the tallest (up to 18 ft on 1 HP); the Crown is the widest (up to 38 ft on 1 HP). Swap whenever you want a different look.
- Winterization: remove the fountain from the water before freezing conditions.
