About PondSelect · Authorized Dealer

Pond fountains with lights, timer, and everything to run them: one brand, complete system

PondSelect is the one-brand answer for pond owners who want the whole floating fountain setup (fountain, LED lighting, and the timer that runs them on a schedule) without piecing together three different brands and hoping the connectors match. Four floating fountain models cover 1/3 HP up through 2 HP configurations, two universal LED lighting kits (warm white and full RGB color-changing) drop onto any PondSelect fountain out of the box, and the Tork outdoor timer plugs the whole rig into a 110V outlet on a set-and-forget daily schedule.

Where PondSelect fits in our lineup: it is the complete-system pick. If you want the whole pond fountain kit — fountain plus lights plus timer — in one order, one shipment, and one warranty contact, this is the shortest path. The Classic Series (both Mini 1/3 HP and standard) covers most residential decorative ponds, and the Classic Mini is our most-popular small pond fountain. The E-Series 1/2 HP is the energy-efficient upgrade for larger residential and small commercial. The Stainless Steel Pro Series Lake Fountain steps up to commercial-grade 304 stainless for HOA, golf course, and lake-scale applications where you want the fountain visible from 500+ feet.

Every PondSelect order ships free within the U.S. and is backed by direct manufacturer warranty handled by Pro Pond Supply as the authorized dealer. Not sure which HP or spray pattern fits your pond? SETUP

The typical PondSelect fountain-with-lights setup

Most PondSelect buyers order the same three-part pond fountain kit: (1) a Classic Series Floating Fountain sized to their pond (1/3 HP for ponds under 1/4 acre, 3/4 HP up to 1/2 acre, 1-1.5 HP for larger residential), (2) either the White or Color-Changing universal LED kit matched to fountain size, and (3) the Tork outdoor timer to run the system automatically at dawn/dusk. Total investment typically runs $1,100 to $2,500 for a complete fountain-plus-lights install. Some product pages let you add the LED kit and timer as variants at checkout for a single-SKU order.

PondSelect FAQs

The most common questions our pond equipment specialists get about PondSelect fountains, lights, and timers.

Which PondSelect fountain should I buy?

Match the fountain HP to your pond size:

Under 1/4 acre: Classic Mini Series 1/3 HP (from $585). The best small pond fountain in the lineup for backyard decorative ponds.

1/4 to 1/2 acre: Classic Series 1/2 HP or 3/4 HP (from $650). The volume pick for residential ponds.

1/2 to 1 acre: Classic Series 1 HP or 1.5 HP, or step up to the E-Series 1/2 HP (from $1,175) if you want energy efficiency at similar coverage.

1+ acre or lake: Stainless Steel Pro Series (from $1,475). Commercial-grade construction with 1 to 2 HP options.

Not sure? Use the Find My Perfect Fountain tool or call (470) 354-1969.

Are the PondSelect LED lighting kits universal-fit?

Yes. Both the Universal White and Universal Color Changing LED lighting kits are engineered to fit any PondSelect fountain in the current lineup (Classic Mini, Classic Series, E-Series, and Stainless Steel Pro Series). Kit size is matched to fountain HP so the light output scales with fountain spray height.

The lighting kits are also available as variants on most fountain product pages, so you can order the fountain and matching lights as a single SKU at checkout instead of buying separately.

What is the difference between the White and Color-Changing LED kits?

Universal White LED Kit (from $450): Warm-white LEDs. Classic elegant nighttime spray illumination. Preferred for HOA, resort, and traditional-aesthetic installations.

Universal Color-Changing LED Kit (from $650): Full-color RGB LEDs. Static color selection or automated color-cycling programs. Preferred for events, seasonal decor (red/green Christmas, orange Halloween, blue Fourth of July), and modern residential installs.

Both kits are weatherproof, submersible-rated, and use standard 110V outdoor power.

How does the Tork outdoor timer work?

The Tork outdoor fountain timer ($48) is a weatherproof 110V outlet timer that plugs into a standard outdoor GFCI outlet and provides a switched outlet for the fountain (or fountain + LED kit) to plug into. Set up to 8 daily on/off events. Most PondSelect owners set the fountain to run dawn to dusk (fountain aeration during daylight) plus a nighttime "lights only" window for the LED kit.

The timer handles the fountain, the lighting kit, or both simultaneously up to its amperage rating. For most Classic and E-Series setups with LED, one Tork timer handles the complete system.

What electrical do PondSelect fountains need?

All PondSelect fountains run on standard 110V single-phase outdoor GFCI-protected power. Plug and cord included with every fountain in cord lengths matched to typical pond-to-shore distances (50 ft, 100 ft, and longer cord options available on most models).

You do NOT need 220V or 3-phase for any PondSelect fountain (even the 2 HP Stainless Pro). The higher-HP fountains draw more amperage, so verify your outdoor GFCI outlet is rated for the fountain amperage before installing.

What spray patterns are available?

Multiple spray patterns are available per fountain series. Common patterns across the PondSelect lineup include:

Gusher: Tall, narrow, high-plume spray. Best visibility from a distance.

Frothy Geyser: Wider, softer, more "aeration-forward" pattern.

Wide Arch (E-Series): Umbrella-shaped multi-tier spray. The most decorative pattern.

Trumpet, Crown, Cascade: Available on Classic Series and Stainless Pro depending on HP.

Specific spray patterns per model are listed on each product page.

How long is shipping on PondSelect fountains?

Most in-stock PondSelect fountains ship within 2 to 5 business days with free U.S. shipping included. Transit time depends on distance, usually 3 to 7 business days to the contiguous US. Total order-to-doorstep is typically 1 to 2 weeks.

Smaller SKUs (Tork timer, White LED kit) often ship parcel and arrive faster. Larger fountains (Stainless Pro, Classic 1.5 HP) ship via freight (LTL) and take slightly longer.

What is the warranty on a PondSelect fountain?

PondSelect carries a manufacturer parts warranty on the fountain motor, cord, and float assembly. Specific warranty terms vary by product line (Classic vs E-Series vs Stainless Pro) and are listed on each product page.

All warranties are direct from the manufacturer. Pro Pond Supply handles warranty claims as the authorized dealer, so you do not need to contact PondSelect support directly if something needs service.

How do PondSelect fountains compare to Scott Aerator and Kasco Marine?

PondSelect is the "complete system" pick. Best when you want fountain plus lights plus timer in one order from one brand. Universal-fit LED kits and simple product ladder.

Scott Aerator is the premium-decorative pick. Made in Michigan, focused on high-end spray patterns and Scott-specific accessories.

Kasco Marine is the commercial-grade pick. Wisconsin-built for HOA, golf course, and municipal applications. Higher HP ceiling (up to 7.5 HP J Series).

For most residential decorative pond owners, PondSelect is the cleanest path. For premium aesthetics, Scott Aerator. For commercial-scale duty cycles, Kasco Marine.

Do I need aeration too, or is a fountain enough?

Fountains deliver both visual spray AND surface aeration as a byproduct of pushing water through the air. For decorative purposes on small-to-mid residential ponds, a floating fountain alone is usually enough oxygenation for the pond.

For larger ponds (1+ acre), deeper ponds (over 8 to 10 ft), or ponds with fish load / algae issues, a dedicated diffused aeration system is more effective at bottom-to-top water circulation and dissolved oxygen. Some pond owners run both: a decorative fountain for visual + a diffused aerator for water quality.

Use the Find My Perfect Fountain tool to see if a fountain-only setup fits your pond, or call (470) 354-1969 for a specific recommendation.

Can I install a PondSelect fountain myself?

Yes. PondSelect fountains ship pre-assembled and ready to install. Basic install sequence: (1) uncoil the power cord from the fountain to your shore-side outdoor outlet, (2) tether the fountain to two anchors on opposite sides of the pond to keep it centered, (3) plug into a GFCI-protected 110V outlet, (4) run through the spray pattern to confirm operation.

Larger 1+ HP fountains and the Stainless Pro Series may benefit from a two-person launch since the float assemblies are heavier. No special tools or electrical certification required for standard 110V installs.

What maintenance does a PondSelect fountain need?

Routine maintenance is minimal:

Monthly: Inspect the intake screen for debris (leaves, algae strings). Clear as needed to maintain full pump flow.

Annually: Pull the fountain, inspect the pump housing seals, clean any mineral buildup off the spray nozzle.

Winter: In freezing climates, pull the fountain and store it indoors before the first hard freeze. Ice can damage the float assembly and pump seals.

The PondSelect debris mesh cage accessory (available separately) reduces intake-screen cleaning frequency in high-debris ponds.
