Keep Your Pond Healthy Year Round with the Vertex PondLyfe Aerator

The Vertex PondLyfe Aeration System is a bottom-diffused aeration setup built for small to mid-size ponds up to 1.5 surface acres and 30 ft deep. It moves oxygen-rich water from the bottom of the pond to the surface using a shore-mounted compressor cabinet, weighted self-sinking tubing, and one or more membrane AirStations sitting on the pond floor. The result is consistent circulation that prevents stratification, reduces muck buildup, and keeps fish healthy year round.

Four configurations cover different aeration patterns: the PondLyfe 1 uses a single XL2 SW AirStation for compact ponds, the PondLyfe 2 and 3 use multiple XL1 AirStations to spread aeration across irregular shorelines, and the PondLyfe 4 mixes both station types for ponds with an obvious deep spot plus shallow sections. Every system runs on the same 1/4 HP rocking-piston compressor inside a quiet, powder-coated aluminum QuietAir cabinet that ships in Stone, Sand, or Garden Green to match your landscape.

Each system includes the QuietAir cabinet, compressor, GFCI safety circuit, and the AirStations matched to that configuration. Optional 3/8 in self-weighted BottomLine tubing is available in 50, 100, 250, and 500 ft lengths - pick the run that reaches your shore-mounted cabinet to the AirStation drop point. Free shipping on every PondLyfe.

Why Choose the PondLyfe by Vertex

Bottom-Up Pond Circulation
Membrane AirStations sit on the pond floor and release fine bubbles that lift water (not just air) to the surface. The lifting action turns the entire water column over - the most effective way to oxygenate a pond and prevent stagnation.
Four Configurations for Different Pond Shapes
The PondLyfe 1 covers compact uniform ponds with a single XL2 SW station. The PondLyfe 2 and 3 spread multiple XL1 stations across irregular shorelines. The PondLyfe 4 combines an XL2 SW with an XL1 - the right pick when you have one deep area plus a shallower bay.
Quiet, Discreet QuietAir Cabinet
Powder-coated aluminum enclosure with built-in sound insulation. Stone, Sand, or Garden Green color blends into landscaping. The compressor runs at a noise level that won't bother lakefront living.
Energy Efficient 1/4 HP Compressor
Rocking-piston compressor pulls just 1.6 running amps. Average monthly cost works out to about $14.77 running 24/7 at 5 psi (assuming 11 cents per kWh). One of the cheapest ways to keep an entire 1.5-acre pond circulating year round.
ETL Safety Certified
Class A GFCI safety circuit. ETL-certified for outdoor use. Restarts automatically after a power loss without intervention.
Self-Cleaning Membrane Diffusers
AirStations use independently tested self-cleaning membranes that resist calcification and biofouling - no annual rebuild required. Bubbles range from 0.5 to 1 mm for maximum oxygen transfer.
Best-in-Class Warranty
3 years on the compressor. 5 years on the AirStations. 15 years on the BottomLine tubing. Limited lifetime warranty on the powder-coated cabinet against rust.
Ships Complete
Cabinet, compressor, AirStations, and all internal plumbing ship ready to run. Add a tubing kit at order time to land everything you need in one box.

Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy

  • Pond Surface: up to 1.5 acres on every PondLyfe configuration. For larger ponds, look at the XL2, XL2 SW, or HighFlow systems.
  • Pond Depth: 30 ft maximum operating depth on every PondLyfe.
  • Power: 115V standard. The cabinet plugs into a properly sized GFCI-protected dedicated circuit.
  • Cabinet Placement: the QuietAir cabinet mounts on shore within reach of a power outlet. Pick a spot that is shaded if possible to keep compressor temperatures down in summer.
  • Tubing Run: 3/8 in BottomLine self-weighted tubing connects the cabinet to the AirStations. Measure from your cabinet location to the planned AirStation drop point. We offer 50, 100, 250, and 500 ft kits in the options above.
  • AirStation Placement: drop AirStations in the deepest part of the pond. For multi-station systems (PondLyfe 2/3/4), spread them across high-traffic areas of the pond floor.
  • Winter Operation: the PondLyfe can run year round, but in freezing climates we recommend pulling stations into the shallow end during winter to maintain a small open water area without freezing the cabinet.
  • Sizing Help: Call (470) 354-1969 with your pond surface area, depth, and shape and we will recommend the right PondLyfe configuration.
