The AquaSweep Max sits on a stainless steel tripod in as little as 12 inches of water and aims a 600 GPM, 102 lb-thrust jet across the bottom of your pond or lake. That column of moving water lifts loose debris into suspension and carries it well past 100 feet from where the unit is mounted, opening swim areas, dock approaches, and beach fronts that would otherwise need raking, dredging, or chemical treatment.
Underneath that thrust is the same engineering Scott Aerator builds into every product. The 1-1/2 HP, 230V oil-free stainless steel submersible motor runs continuously at 3,450 RPM with no scheduled maintenance, no oil changes, and no separate control box to install on the shoreline. Construction is high-density polyurethane and marine-grade stainless steel throughout, including the motor housing, so the unit handles fresh, salt, and brackish water without special prep. Pick a cord length from 150 to 400 ft to reach your breaker panel, then drop the unit, point it where you want the bottom cleared, and plug it in. Add an optional oscillator to auto-rotate the AquaSweep Max on its tripod for a wider clearing pattern, or leave it pointed for a single-target push. Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy
- Dedicated 230V GFCI Circuit: the AquaSweep Max only ships in 230V and must be connected to a GFCI-protected circuit. Have a licensed electrician verify the circuit before installation.
- Power Off Around Swimmers: disconnect power any time someone enters the water. This applies to every electric pond product, not just the AquaSweep Max.
- Minimum Water Depth: the tripod needs at least 12 inches of water under it. Measure where the unit will sit, not at the shoreline.
- No Extension Cords: running power through an extension cord is not permitted. Order a longer factory cord (up to 400 ft, with custom lengths available beyond) if your panel is farther from the water.
- Aim Direction: point the unit toward the area you want cleared. Loose muck, weeds, and silt get carried 100+ ft in the direction the unit is facing. Optional oscillator auto-rotates the unit for wider clearing arcs.
- Salt and Fresh Water: rated for fresh, salt, and brackish water out of the box. No special treatment required.
