The Airmax SolarSeries is a solar-powered floating fountain built around a maintenance-free direct-drive stainless-steel motor, a 34-inch marine-grade float, and four American-made monocrystalline solar panels mounted on Airmax's pre-assembled EasyMount system. It runs entirely off sunlight - no electric bill, no shore-run wiring, and no dig-and-trench install project. Just point the panels south, drop the fountain in the pond, and it turns on when the sun comes up.
Sized for ponds from half an acre up to about 1 acre with a maximum spray height of 14 ft on the Trumpet pattern. Three included spray patterns swap tool-free in under a minute (Classic, Crown & Trumpet, Trumpet), and four premium nozzles are available for wider or taller displays (Single Arch, Double Arch, Double Arch w/ Geyser, Blossom). Powered up to 12 hours of runtime on a single charge in typical summer sun.
Every kit ships with the float, motor, 4 solar panels, 2 EasyMount assemblies, disconnect switch and controller, and 3 spray pattern nozzles. Pick your cord length (100 to 300 ft) and cord protection (Standard SEOOW, PolyFlex braid, or Stainless Steel armored). Backed by a 3-year warranty on the power unit and electrical components, and a limited 25-year warranty on the solar panels.

Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy
- Pond Size: aerates ponds up to 1/2 to 1 acre with the standard Airmax display patterns. Larger ponds need additional diffused aeration or a second fountain.
- Minimum Operating Depth: 36 inches.
- Sun Exposure: the panels need at least 6 hours of clear line-of-sight sky per day for full performance. Runtime scales down proportionally on cloudy or heavily shaded sites.
- Mounting Poles (Not Included): the EasyMount system requires two 2.5-inch diameter (2.875 OD / 2.47 ID) x 10 ft long Schedule 40 galvanized steel poles. Source locally - they are heavy, expensive to ship, and readily available at any building supply.
- Panel Location: the EasyMount panels can sit up to 300 ft from the fountain. Site them where they have unobstructed south-facing exposure and stay clear of tree drop.
- Cord Sizing: the cord runs from the controller / disconnect switch enclosure to the floating fountain. Measure straight from the intended controller pad to the deepest point of the pond.
- Cord Protection - Standard: SEOOW 12/4 600V outdoor rubber jacket with quick disconnects. Best for buried conduit runs and protected shorelines.
- Cord Protection - PolyFlex: braided sleeve over the cord. Rated for rocky shorelines, rodent-exposed installs, and dock traffic.
- Cord Protection - Stainless Steel Armored: stainless steel braid over the cord. Best for public installs, vandalism-prone sites, and heavy wildlife pressure.
- Quick Disconnects: every SolarSeries cord ships with two quick disconnects (fountain end + panel end) so seasonal removal and cleaning is a lift-and-unplug operation.
- Mooring: supply anchors and rope separately. Airmax's Fountain Mooring Kit is available in 150', 250', and 500' lengths.
