Scott Aerator Floating AquaSweep
Push Muck Off Open Water with the Scott Floating AquaSweep
When the muck and dead weeds are well off the shoreline - in the middle of a pond, around an island, or out by the deeper bottom of a lake - a dock-mounted unit cannot reach. The Scott Floating AquaSweep rides on its own heavy-duty float platform and lets you anchor it anywhere on the water. Aim the unit at the bottom you want cleared, plug it in, and a focused, high-volume jet of water carries settled muck, leaves, and silt 100+ feet from where the unit sits. No dock, no shoreline access, no swim-out installation required.
Underneath the float is the same engineering Scott Aerator builds into every product. The oil-free, stainless steel submersible motor runs continuously at 3,450 RPM with no scheduled maintenance, no oil changes, and no separate control box. Marine-grade stainless steel construction handles fresh, salt, and brackish water without special prep. Every Floating AquaSweep is built in Holland, Michigan, ARL-tested as a complete package, and backed by Scott Aerator's unconditional 5-year motor warranty.
Choose your motor from 1/3 HP up to 1 HP, pair it with a 35, 50, 100, or 150 ft factory-attached submersible power cord, and pick 115V or 230V (both available on every motor size except the 1 HP, where 115V tops out at 100 ft). Add an optional oscillator to auto-rotate the unit on its float for a wider clearing pattern, or leave it pointed for a single-target push. Anchor the float with two nylon mooring lines and a pair of weights or concrete blocks, and the AquaSweep stays put through wind and current.
The Scott Floating AquaSweep rides on its own float so you can place it anywhere on the water - middle of a pond, around an island, off the back of a swim raft. Pushes muck, weeds, and silt 100+ ft from where it sits.
Stainless steel oil-free submersible motor at 3,450 RPM. 24-hour continuous duty, no maintenance, no control box, salt or fresh water. Made in Holland, Michigan with a 5-year unconditional motor warranty.
Choose 1/3, 1/2, 3/4, or 1 HP. 115V or 230V. 35, 50, 100, or 150 ft submersible cord. Optional oscillator widens the clearing arc. Anchored with two mooring lines and weights (sold separately).

Key Features
- Heavy-Duty Float Platform: Free-floating UV-resistant platform lets the AquaSweep sit anywhere on the water without a dock. Two anchor points let you hold it steady through wind and current.
- Stainless Steel Submersible Motor: Sealed, oil-free, marine-grade stainless construction including the motor housing. Engineered for continuous 24-hour operation with no scheduled service intervals.
- Four Motor Sizes Across Two Voltages: 1/3, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 HP. All four ship in 115V or 230V. The 115V models include a Hubbell marine-style plug; the 230V models hardwire to a panel and are recommended for longer cord runs to avoid voltage drop.
- Submersible Power Cord, 35 to 150 ft: Factory-attached 12-gauge submersible cord in your choice of 35, 50, 100, or 150 ft. Larger motor sizes use 10-gauge on longer 115V runs to prevent voltage drop. Custom lengths beyond 150 ft are available on request.
- Salt and Fresh Water Approved: Marine-grade stainless construction handles fresh, salt, and brackish water with no coatings or sleeves required.
- Year-Round, No-Winterize Design: Built to handle subzero temperatures with the unit in place. Cut power when the season ends, let ice form, and restart in the spring with no damage.
Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy
- Dedicated GFCI Circuit: a GFCI-protected circuit is mandatory. Have a licensed electrician verify your existing wiring before installation.
- Power Off Around Swimmers: disconnect power any time someone is in the water. This applies to every electric pond product.
- Anchoring Required: the float needs two anchor weights or concrete blocks plus two nylon mooring ropes to hold position. Anchors and rope are sold separately.
- No Extension Cords: running power through an extension cord is not permitted. Order a longer factory cord if 150 ft is not enough.
- Choosing 115V or 230V: all four motors are available in both voltages, with the exception of the 1 HP 115V which tops out at 100 ft cord. 230V is recommended for any cord run over 100 ft to avoid voltage drop.
- Aim Direction: point the unit toward the area you want cleared. Loose muck, weeds, and silt get carried 100+ ft in the direction the unit is facing. Optional oscillator auto-rotates for wider clearing.
- Salt and Fresh Water: rated for fresh, salt, and brackish water out of the box. No special treatment required.
- Continuous-Duty Motor: the AquaSweep is rated to run nonstop. Optional oscillator and timer accessories let you cycle and rotate automatically.
