  • Pond Depth: the Robust-Aire is designed for ponds and lakes 8 ft deep or deeper. Shallower water bodies should use a Kasco surface aerator or AquatiClear circulator instead.
  • Compressor Location: the compressor lives on shore. Plan for a flat, dry spot within reach of a properly sized dedicated GFCI-protected circuit. Cabinet sits roughly 1-2 ft from the water line on a pad.
  • Tubing Runs (4-6 Diffuser Systems): 4-6 systems ship without tubing because the right run depends on your pond shape. SureSink self-weighted tubing is sold separately by the foot.
  • Voltage Selection: 120V is fine for short tubing runs and small systems. 240V is recommended for any install where the compressor cabinet is more than ~50 ft from the breaker, to avoid voltage drop.
  • Power Off When Servicing: disconnect power before opening the cabinet to change filters or service the compressor.
  • Filter Maintenance: visual maintenance indicator on the cabinet flags filter changes. Most owners change them once a season.

The Kasco Robust-Aire is a bottom-diffused aeration system designed for ponds and lakes 8 ft deep or deeper. A shore-mounted compressor pushes air through self-weighted tubing to one or more diffuser plates on the pond floor; the diffusers release a stream of micro-bubbles that rise to the surface and pull massive volumes of water with them. The result is full thermal and chemical destratification, oxygen transfer all the way down to the bottom, and zero electricity in the water.

Kasco's Robust-Aire diffusers have been independently tested at up to 44% more efficient than other diffused systems on the market. That efficiency translates directly into lower energy bills and better aeration per dollar spent. The stainless steel diffuser assembly includes built-in strain relief and is engineered to land right-side up every time you drop it. Large air filters extend service intervals, and a visual maintenance indicator on the compressor tells you exactly when it's time to change them.

Up to 44% More Efficient Independently tested for oxygen transfer per kWh against competing diffused aeration systems. The fine-bubble plate design delivers more dissolved oxygen per dollar of electricity than coarse-bubble or perforated-hose alternatives. Six System Sizes 1 diffuser handles a small pond up to about 1/2 acre. Add diffusers as the water body grows - 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 plates spread across the bottom. The compressor scales with the system: 1/4 HP for 1-2 diffusers, 1/2 HP for 3, and dual 1/2 HP compressors for 4-6. No Electricity in the Water Only air goes underwater. Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy

  • Pond Depth: the Robust-Aire is designed for ponds and lakes 8 ft deep or deeper. Shallower water bodies should use a Kasco surface aerator or AquatiClear circulator instead.
  • Compressor Location: the compressor lives on shore. Plan for a flat, dry spot within reach of a properly sized dedicated GFCI-protected circuit. Cabinet sits roughly 1-2 ft from the water line on a pad.
  • Tubing Runs (4-6 Diffuser Systems): 4-6 systems ship without tubing because the right run depends on your pond shape. SureSink self-weighted tubing is sold separately by the foot.
  • Voltage Selection: 120V is fine for short tubing runs and small systems. 240V is recommended for any install where the compressor cabinet is more than ~50 ft from the breaker, to avoid voltage drop.
  • Power Off When Servicing: disconnect power before opening the cabinet to change filters or service the compressor.
  • Filter Maintenance: visual maintenance indicator on the cabinet flags filter changes. Most owners change them once a season.
  • Diffuser Placement: drop each diffuser at the deepest part of its assigned section so the bubble column rises through the full water column. The plate lands right-side up automatically.

  • Units under warranty may be sent to a Kasco authorized repair center for evaluation and repair, and all units must include the required Repair Contact Form.
  • Only complete motor assemblies will be accepted for warranty repair, and the power cord and all other original components must be returned with the motor as originally assembled.
  • Kasco Marine will return units repaired under warranty at their expense by ground freight within the continental United States, while expedited return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
