About Airmax · Authorized Dealer

The complete pond ecosystem brand and North America's deepest solar aeration lineup

Airmax is one of the most established pond ecosystem brands in North America. The Airmax approach is to cover the entire pond lifecycle from a single lineup: aeration for water quality, floating fountains for visual and additional surface aeration, LED lighting for nighttime display, and a full accessory ecosystem (weighted airline, direct-burial airline, mooring kits, premium nozzles, and remote manifold kits). Fifteen active products across four categories, all backed by manufacturer warranty and handled through Pro Pond Supply as the authorized dealer.

Where Airmax shines vs. our other brands: the SolarSeries lineup is the deepest solar pond product family in the Pro Pond Supply catalog. Three solar-powered products (SolarSeries Direct Drive Aeration $5,800, SolarSeries Battery Backup Aeration $8,200, and the SolarSeries Pond Fountain $10,350) cover every off-grid pond scenario — browse them alongside the full solar pond aerator and solar pond fountain collections. If your pond is on a farm, remote country property, or anywhere without practical mains electrical access, Airmax has the deepest solar-powered option set.

Beyond solar, Airmax covers the pro-shop lineup: the PondSeries is the classic Airmax pond aerator for residential water quality, PondSeries fountains match it, LakeSeries floating fountains scaling from 2 HP up to 10 HP 3-phase commercial, EcoSeries entry fountain, RGBW LED lighting, and the full accessory ecosystem to complete the install. SOLAR
LEADER

Airmax has the deepest solar aeration lineup in the Pro Pond Supply catalog

Three solar-powered Airmax products cover every off-grid scenario. The SolarSeries Direct Drive Aeration System ($5,800) runs during daylight hours only, ideal for ponds where daytime aeration is enough. The SolarSeries Battery Backup Aeration System ($8,200) adds a battery pack for 24-hour continuous operation, best when the pond needs constant aeration through overnight hours. The SolarSeries Pond Fountain ($10,350) combines a solar-powered floating fountain with visual spray display, for off-grid ponds that also want the visual water feature. All three are ideal for farm ponds, remote country properties, and any pond where running mains electrical service to the water is impractical.

Airmax FAQs

The most common questions our pond specialists get about Airmax aeration systems, floating fountains, LED lighting, and accessories.

Which Airmax aeration system should I buy?

Match the system to your pond and power situation:

Shallow ponds under 8 ft deep: Airmax Shallow Water Series ($1,500). Optimized for shallow water pond aeration where traditional diffused systems are less effective.

Standard residential ponds 1/4 to 2 acres: Airmax PondSeries ($1,650). The Airmax workhorse residential aeration system.

Off-grid pond, daytime aeration sufficient: Airmax SolarSeries Direct Drive ($5,800). No battery, runs during daylight only.

Off-grid pond, 24-hour aeration needed: Airmax SolarSeries Battery Backup ($8,200). Solar plus battery pack for continuous operation.

Not sure? Use the Find My Perfect Aerator tool or call (470) 354-1969.

What is the difference between SolarSeries Direct Drive and Battery Backup?

SolarSeries Direct Drive ($5,800): Solar panel powers the aeration compressor directly during daylight hours. No battery pack. When the sun goes down, the system stops. Best when daytime-only aeration is sufficient for your pond size and biological load. Simplest and lowest-cost solar option.

SolarSeries Battery Backup ($8,200): Adds a battery pack that stores solar-generated energy during the day and releases it overnight. Result: 24-hour continuous aeration. Best when the pond needs constant aeration for fish health, algae control, or higher biological load.

General rule: smaller ponds with lower biological load do fine with Direct Drive. Larger ponds, fish-heavy ponds, or ponds where you cannot tolerate any aeration downtime should choose Battery Backup.

Which Airmax fountain should I buy for my pond?

Match to your pond size and use case:

Under 1/4 acre residential: EcoSeries 1/2 HP ($1,850). Entry Airmax fountain, accessible pricing.

1/4 to 1/2 acre residential: PondSeries Pond Fountain ($3,200). Step up in spray height and HP.

Lake-scale residential or commercial: LakeSeries 2, 3, or 5 HP ($8,500). Multiple spray patterns, commercial-grade construction.

Off-grid pond: SolarSeries Pond Fountain ($10,350). Solar-powered fountain, no shore-side electrical needed.

Ultra-commercial 3-phase electrical service: LakeSeries 7.5 or 10 HP 3-Phase ($18,900). The Airmax top of lineup for HOA, municipal, and resort water features.

What Airmax accessories should I buy with a fountain or aerator?

Depends on your install:

Weighted airline ($50): For running airline from shore compressor cabinet to pond-bottom diffuser. Weighted sinks to the bottom, protects the tubing from surface debris.

Direct-burial airline ($55): For running airline underground from the compressor cabinet through your yard/lawn to the pond edge. UV-resistant and rated for direct burial.

Fountain Mooring Kit ($150): Required for anchoring a floating fountain in a pond. Anchors, ropes, and hardware.

Premium Fountain Nozzles ($250): Additional spray-pattern nozzle options for Airmax fountains. Swap between different patterns without buying a new fountain.

Remote Manifold Kit ($530): Multi-port manifold for extending an aeration system to several diffuser locations on larger or irregularly-shaped ponds.

Do the Airmax LED lights work with any brand of fountain?

The Airmax RGBW Color-Changing LED Light Set ($1,170) is engineered as an Airmax fountain accessory and pairs perfectly with the Airmax EcoSeries, PondSeries, LakeSeries, and SolarSeries floating fountains. It uses Airmax-specific mounting hardware and connectors.

For universal-fit LED lighting that works across multiple fountain brands, see the PondSelect Universal Color Changing LED Kit. For Kasco WaterGlow-specific LED lighting, see Kasco Marine.

What electrical do Airmax products need?

Shallow Water and PondSeries Aeration: Standard 115V single-phase outdoor GFCI outlet.

EcoSeries and PondSeries Fountain: Standard 115V single-phase.

LakeSeries Fountains (2, 3, 5 HP): 230V single-phase.

LakeSeries Fountains 7.5 and 10 HP 3-Phase: 230V or 460V 3-phase electrical service required (commercial-grade install, usually requires a licensed electrician).

SolarSeries Aeration and SolarSeries Fountain: NO shore-side electrical required. Solar-panel powered.

How long is shipping on Airmax products?

Most in-stock Airmax products ship within 3 to 7 business days with free U.S. shipping included. Transit is usually 3 to 7 business days after that. Total order-to-doorstep is typically 2 to 3 weeks.

Larger commercial fountains (LakeSeries 5 HP and 7.5/10 HP 3-Phase) and the SolarSeries systems can be built-to-order and may have longer lead times. Contact us at (470) 354-1969 for current stock and lead-time on any specific Airmax item.

What is the warranty on Airmax products?

Airmax offers manufacturer warranties across the entire lineup: multi-year warranty on compressor cabinets, diffusers, fountain motors, solar panels, batteries, LED lighting, and accessories. Specific warranty terms per product are listed on each product page.

All warranties are direct from Airmax and Pro Pond Supply handles warranty claims as the authorized dealer.

How does Airmax compare to Vertex, Kasco, and other aeration brands?

Airmax: Complete pond ecosystem approach with the deepest solar lineup. Best when you want one brand for everything AND you have an off-grid pond that needs solar aeration.

Vertex Aquatic Solutions: The pond and lake aeration specialist. Best when diffused aeration engineering is the primary goal (XL2 series is technically excellent). Vertex also has commercial-scale fountains up to $44K.

Kasco Marine: Commercial-grade Wisconsin-built brand with the highest HP fountains (up to 7.5 HP J Series) and industry-leading Robust-Aire diffused aeration.

Scott Aerator: Michigan-made premium decorative fountains and pond aerators with 5-year motor warranty.

Can I install Airmax products myself?

Aeration systems (Shallow Water, PondSeries): Yes, standard DIY-appropriate install for residential pond owners. Set the compressor cabinet on a level pad, run airline to the pond, anchor the diffusers on the bottom, plug into 115V outlet.

SolarSeries systems: Yes, still DIY-appropriate but slightly more involved due to solar panel siting (needs south-facing sun exposure) and battery placement.

EcoSeries and PondSeries fountains: DIY. Mooring kit, plug into 115V outlet.

LakeSeries 2, 3, 5 HP fountains: Larger and heavier, often benefit from a two-person install or contractor help. 230V outlet may require electrician.

LakeSeries 7.5 or 10 HP 3-Phase: Commercial-grade install requiring licensed electrician for 3-phase electrical service, plus contractor help for fountain placement.
