Replacement Weighted Airline for Airmax Diffused Aeration
The Airmax EasySet Weighted Airline is a self-weighted, kink-free, lead-free polyethylene tubing built for continuous submerged use in pond and lake aeration systems. Because it's weighted through the wall (not by adding external ballast) it sinks on its own the moment you drop it in the water and stays flat on the bottom - even when the compressor is running and the airline is pressurized. That means no floating loops, no snags on fishing line, and no separate weights to install.
Pick the diameter and length that match your system. 3/8-inch airline is the standard for shorter runs and lower-CFM systems (SW20, PS10, PS20, PondSeries 3/8-inch installs). Available in 25 ft, 50 ft, and 100 ft rolls - great for short diffuser runs, replacements, or spot repairs. 5/8-inch airline is required for higher-CFM systems and any single run longer than 300 ft, or when total airline on the system exceeds 600 ft. Rated for total system runs up to 1,000 ft per diffuser plate.

Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy
- Underwater Use Only: the EasySet Weighted Airline is engineered for continuous submerged operation. For above-ground or buried shore runs, use Airmax Direct Burial Airline instead - the two connect together with the EasySet Connector Kit.
- 3/8-inch or 5/8-inch: use 3/8-inch for shorter runs and lower-CFM systems (SW20, PS10, PS20). Use 5/8-inch when any single airline run is longer than 300 ft, when total airline on the system exceeds 600 ft, or on higher-CFM systems (SW40, PS40, PS60, SolarSeries).
- Maximum Length per Diffuser Plate: 1,000 ft total per diffuser. Beyond that, pressure drop starts to noticeably reduce diffuser output.
- Length Sizing: measure from the compressor cabinet to each diffuser drop point through any conduit runs, then add 5-10 ft of slack per line for depth variation and seasonal water-level changes.
- Connector Kit Required: use the EasySet Airline Connector Kit (Airmax part 490204 for 3/8-inch, and matching 5/8-inch kit) to join lengths of airline, connect to diffusers, and connect to Direct Burial Airline. Sold separately.
- Cutting to Length: the airline cuts cleanly with a utility knife. Make the cut square (not at an angle) for a proper seal with the connector fittings.
- Installation Position: drop the airline into the water and let it self-weight to the bottom. Do not intentionally coil the airline - it will straighten itself out as the compressor pressurizes it.
- Ozone / UV: if any of the airline sits above water (fittings at the compressor, brief exposed span at the diffuser), that section is not UV-rated for long-term direct sunlight. Bury or shield exposed sections.
