The Airmax LakeSeries is Airmax's flagship large-pond fountain family - built on the patented ISP (Innovative Stability Platform) float for maximum stability under high-horsepower operation, water-cooled sealed motors rated for continuous commercial-scale duty, and a broad range of interchangeable spray nozzles that scale up to match the pond. Three single-phase HP classes cover roughly 2 to 5 surface acres of water on 230V power.
Pick the 2 HP for ponds up to about 2.5 acres (12 A at 230V). Step up to 3 HP for ponds 2 to 4 acres (16 A). The 5 HP handles ponds 4 to 5 acres with the tallest spray heights in the single-phase LakeSeries lineup and 26 A of running current. All three fountains share the same ISP float platform and accept the same interchangeable nozzle collection.
Every fountain ships with the sealed water-cooled motor, ISP float assembly, and control panel. Spray nozzles are sold separately - the LakeSeries supports Classic, Crown & Trumpet, Trumpet, Gusher, Crown & Gusher, Single Arch, Double Arch, Double Arch w/ Geyser, and Blossom (plus a Spinning Blossom on the 5 HP). Cord runs from 100 ft up to 400 ft ship pre-attached at order time. Backed by a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy
- Pond Depth: 2 HP needs 36 in minimum, 3 HP needs 48 in, 5 HP needs 60 in. Shallower ponds should use the Airmax PondSeries or Shallow Water Series instead - LakeSeries is engineered for depth.
- Pond Size: 2 HP up to ~2.5 acres, 3 HP for 2-4 acres, 5 HP for 4-5 acres. Larger water bodies need the 3-phase LakeSeries (7.5 or 10 HP) or multiple fountains.
- Electrical: all three ship as 230V single-phase. Dedicated 230V circuit with GFCI protection required. 2 HP: 12 A. 3 HP: 16 A. 5 HP: 26 A. 3-phase 230V and 460V versions are available separately (call for pricing).
- ISP Float: the Innovative Stability Platform is Airmax's patent-pending float design engineered specifically for higher-horsepower fountain stability. It handles the reactive forces from high-flow spray patterns without the drift and dip you get on standard round floats.
- Nozzles Sold Separately: the LakeSeries fountain ships without nozzles. Pick the pattern that matches your visual (Classic through Blossom) — every LakeSeries nozzle is compatible across the 2, 3, and 5 HP fountains.
- Cord Sizing: measure from the intended fountain location out to the shore control panel. Add 5-10 ft of slack. Pick the cord length that reaches — longer cords increase the base price. Cords over 400 ft are available (call).
- Mooring: supply anchors and rope separately. Airmax Fountain Mooring Kit (150', 250', or 500') is available as a separate product.
- Winter Operation: continuous operation is possible in freezing climates as long as the fountain stays running - the plume keeps a hole open in the ice. Do not turn off in mid-winter or the frozen surface can trap the float.
