The Airmax PondSeries is Airmax's commercial-duty fountain family - patent-pending high-flow cooling shroud design, energy-efficient sealed motor rated for continuous 24/7 duty, and crisp aerating spray patterns that read as a fountain but do serious aeration work. Three motor sizes cover backyard koi ponds through 2-acre HOA lakes, all built on the same platform.
Pick 1/2 HP 115V for standard household residential installs (up to 1/4 acre). Step up to 1/2 HP 230V when the cord run is long enough that 230V voltage-drop math matters. The 1 HP 230V is the sweet spot for HOA lakes up to 1 acre. The 2 HP 230V handles up to 2 acres of water with the tallest spray heights in the family - up to 17 ft on the Trumpet nozzle.
Every configuration ships with the sealed cooling-shroud motor, marine-grade float, three included spray patterns (Classic, Crown & Trumpet, Trumpet), and Airmax's dual-timer control panel. Four premium nozzles (Single Arch, Double Arch, Double Arch w/ Geyser, Blossom) are available if you want a wider or taller display. Every kit 200 ft and above ships with an underwater quick disconnect. Backed by a 3-year manufacturer warranty on the fountain and control panel.

Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy
- Pond Size: 1/2 HP handles up to about 1/4 acre, 1 HP up to about 1 acre, and 2 HP up to about 2 acres. Larger water bodies need additional diffused aeration or multiple fountains for full circulation.
- Minimum Operating Depth: 36 inches. Deeper than the EcoSeries because the PondSeries cooling shroud pulls water past the motor for cooling and needs the head clearance.
- Electrical - 1/2 HP 115V: standard 115V household circuit, ~12 A. Plug into a properly wired 20 A circuit with GFCI protection. Fine for residential installs.
- Electrical - 230V configs: dedicated 230V circuit with GFCI protection. 1/2 HP 230V is 6 A, 1 HP 230V is 7 A, 2 HP 230V is 13 A. Consult a licensed electrician for permanent installs.
- Cord Sizing: measure from the fountain's intended location straight to the shore panel. 1/2 HP 115V is limited to 200 ft (voltage drop math); the 230V configs run out to 500 ft.
- Cord Protection - Standard: SJTOOW / SEOOW outdoor rubber jacket. Best for buried conduit runs and protected shorelines.
- Cord Protection - PolyFlex: braided sleeve over the cord. Rated for rocky shorelines, rodent-exposed installs, and dock traffic.
- Cord Protection - Stainless Steel Armored: stainless steel braid over the cord. Best for public installs and vandalism-prone sites.
- Underwater Quick Disconnect: 200 ft and longer cord runs ship with the disconnect standard. Shorter runs do not include it by default.
- Mooring: supply anchors and rope separately. Airmax's Fountain Mooring Kit is available in 150', 250', and 500' lengths (sold separately).
