Some accessories are truly cross-brand compatible: 115V outdoor timers work with any 115V fountain, generic marine mooring rope ties down any float, universal-fit LED kits work on most fountains. But match brands whenever it is an option, especially for anything plumbed into the equipment (airline, nozzles, control panels).

Weighted airline: Airline tubing designed to sink to the pond bottom without floating up. Used for the RUN from the pond edge out to the pond-bottom diffusers. The tubing has an integrated weight so it stays anchored.

Direct-burial airline: UV-resistant airline rated for underground burial. Used for the RUN from a shore-side compressor cabinet through your lawn or landscaping to the pond edge. Rated to be buried 6-12 inches under sod without UV degradation.

A typical diffused aeration install uses both: direct-burial from cabinet to pond edge, weighted from pond edge to diffusers.

Yes. Floating fountains do not ship with anchor hardware. A mooring kit provides the anchors and marine-rated ropes needed to tether the fountain in the pond so it stays centered rather than drifting to shore.

Airmax Fountain Mooring Kit ($149.99) is the standard pick for Airmax fountains. Scott Aerator Mooring Line ($13) is the basic rope option for Scott units (anchors sold separately). The Airmax Remote Manifold Kit ($529.99) is a multi-port distribution manifold that lets one aeration compressor feed multiple pond-bottom diffusers spread across different points of the pond.

When you need one: larger ponds (over 1 acre), oddly-shaped ponds (dumbbell shape, long narrow ponds), or ponds with significant depth variation where a single diffuser cannot reach the deepest points. Extending an existing single-diffuser system to a 2-4 diffuser layout is the most common use case.

Not needed for standard single-diffuser residential installs.

The Scott Aerator Shallow Water Adapter ($895.95) is an adapter kit for running Scott Aerator floating fountains and aerators in shallow ponds (under 5 ft deep). It includes a specialized float, diffuser tubes, and mooring cables that let a standard Scott unit run in water too shallow for the default float configuration.

Common use case: a retention pond, ornamental pond, or agricultural pond that is only 3-4 ft deep where a normal float would bottom-out or have the intake too close to the pond bottom.

The Scott Aerator Oscillator ($979) is a pole-mounted rotating platform that oscillates a Scott Aerator surface aerator or fountain over time.
