  • Pond Depth: 24 in minimum operating depth on every motor size. The float draws the water through the impeller intake on the bottom.
  • Power: 115V household current. Plug into a properly sized GFCI-protected dedicated circuit. 1/2 HP draws 3.7 A; 3/4 HP 4.6 A; 1 HP 5.8 A; 1.5 HP 8 A.

Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy

  • Pond Size: the 1/2 HP fits small backyard ponds; 3/4 HP and 1 HP cover medium residential ponds; 1.5 HP for larger HOA / commercial water bodies. Match the spray pattern dimensions above to your pond's open-water area.
  • Pond Depth: 24 in minimum operating depth on every motor size. The float draws the water through the impeller intake on the bottom.
  • Power: 115V household current. Plug into a properly sized GFCI-protected dedicated circuit. 1/2 HP draws 3.7 A; 3/4 HP 4.6 A; 1 HP 5.8 A; 1.5 HP 8 A.
  • Cord Length: pick 75 ft, 100 ft, or 150 ft to reach from the fountain to a shore-mounted GFCI outlet. Measure first - including any extra length needed to run up the bank.
  • Mooring: 75 ft of nylon rope is included. You supply two anchors or shore stakes (cinder blocks work fine in a pinch). Anchor the float at roughly 45-degree angles to keep the fountain in position.
  • Winterization: remove the fountain from the water before freezing conditions.
