Every motor is approved for fresh water, salt water, and brackish ponds, and the unit is engineered to be left in the water year-round through subzero temperatures. When the pond freezes, you cut power and walk away. When the thaw comes, you flip it back on. The float platform, stainless steel filter basket, submersible cord, and self-tapping assembly hardware all ship in the box.

- Stainless Steel Oil-Free Submersible Motor: Marine-grade stainless construction with no oil chambers, no seals, and no control box. Built and assembled in Holland, Michigan, and engineered for continuous 24-hour operation.
- Six Motor Sizes Across Two Voltages: 1/2, 3/4, and 1 HP units ship in 115V or 230V; the 1-1/2, 2, and 3 HP units are 230V only. The 115V options plug into a standard outlet; 230V options hardwire to a panel.
- Submersible Power Cord, 70 to 400 ft: Choose 70, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, or 400 ft of factory-attached submersible cord. The 1/2 and 1-1/2 HP motors use 12-gauge cord; the 3 HP uses 10-gauge. Custom lengths beyond 400 ft are available on request.

Requirements & What to Know Before You Buy
- Dedicated GFCI Circuit: a GFCI-protected circuit is mandatory for any Jet Stream installation. Use a licensed electrician if you are not sure your current setup meets this requirement.
- Swimmer Safety: disconnect power to the unit any time someone is in the water. This applies to every electric pond product, not just the Jet Stream.
- Minimum Pond Depth Varies By Motor: 36 in for the 1/2 HP, 50 in for the 1-1/2 HP, and 60 in for the 3 HP. Other motor sizes fall in between. Measure at the planned placement point, not at the shoreline.
- Two-Point Anchoring Required: the Jet Stream uses two anchor weights or concrete blocks and two nylon mooring ropes to hold position. Minimum anchor weight per anchor ranges from 25 lbs on the 1/2 HP to 55 lbs on the 3 HP. Anchors and rope are sold separately.
- No Extension Cords: running power through an extension cord is not permitted. If your breaker panel is farther than the included cord allows, order a longer factory cord or have a licensed electrician install a dedicated line.
- Choosing 115V or 230V: 1/2, 3/4, and 1 HP motors come in both voltages. 115V models plug into a standard outlet; 230V models hardwire to a panel and are recommended for longer cord runs to avoid voltage drop. The 1-1/2, 2, and 3 HP motors are 230V only.
- Winter Storage Not Required: leave the Jet Stream in place through the off-season. Cut power, let ice form, and restart after the thaw. Every component handles subzero temperatures without damage.
- Continuous-Duty Motor: the Jet Stream is rated to run nonstop. If you want to cycle it on and off, an external timer can be added at install time.
