The Scott Aerator Solar DA-20 combines eco-friendly, off-grid aeration with the visual impact of a full display fountain. When you cannot run electric power to your pond, or you do not want the ongoing bill, the Solar DA-20 lets you install a real aerating fountain wherever the sun reaches the water. The 2-Panel 1/2 HP system moves 200 gallons per minute in a 4 ft tall by 15 ft wide adjustable trumpet pattern, and the 4-Panel 3/4 HP system moves 300 gallons per minute in a 5 ft tall by 20 ft wide pattern.
The system runs on a Fhoton Drive variable-speed solar inverter that pulls power from two or four 340-watt mono-crystalline panels and gradually ramps the pump up and down as sunlight changes. There are no batteries to replace, no high-maintenance electronics, and no scheduled service. On cloudy days the pump slows, on bright days it runs at full flow, and after dark it shuts down until sunrise.
Every Solar DA-20 uses the same stainless steel, oil-free, submersible motor that powers Scott Aerator's electric DA-20 line. - Concrete footing for the mounting pole (installer supplied).
- Two anchor ropes with 30 lb weights or concrete blocks for the floating aerator (installer supplied).
- Sun exposure on the panel location for the majority of the day.
- Minimum pond depth of 36 in (1/2 HP) or 44 in (3/4 HP).
- GFCI protection at the disconnect box.
